Excellence! What a truly\u2026 um\u2026 excellent word that is.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m having a bit of a fan girl moment about this too, because a couple of my favourite US authors are on the same shortlist. (You can see the <a href=\"http:\/\/crw-rwa.ning.com\/page\/2016aoefinalists\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">full shortlist here<\/a>.) People always say it\u2019s an honour to be on a shortlist, and in this case that\u2019s totally true. To be mentioned in the same breath as such authors is just\u2026 awesome!<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Wild One is shortlisted in section for mainstream novels with strong romantic elements.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, Flight To Coorah Creek won the Aspen Gold Readers Choice Award in the same category. That award is presented by the heart of Denver RWA chapter.<\/p>\n<p>They like me in Colorado! And that\u2019s great. Because I rather like Colorado too.<\/p>\n<p>When webmaster John and I were living in the US, we made two trips to the South West \u2013 through Colorado, Texas, Arizona.
