It seems only fitting that on Valentine’s Day, I should do a blog devoted to Romance – ah, but not just any romance. This is all about my love affair with books – specifically books about relationships and love, because after all our relationships with other people are the most important part of our lives.<\/p>\n

This week the Romantic Novelists Association\u00a0 announced the books shortlisted for its annual RoNA Awards.<\/p>\n

As many of you know, I am a member of this august body. I administer the website – and I help out with the PR\u00a0for the\u00a0awards. It drives me crazy sometimes. It really does. I want to tear my hair out and scream. But other times, it brings a tear to my eyes.<\/p>\n

I do what I do because\u00a0I believe in the books we all write. I believe in the organisation that represents us. And I believe in the friendships and support that we give each other.<\/p>\n

Therefore – this week I am giving over this blog to those fabulous writers who are nominated for the awards. Many are my friends. Many are writers I read. Some are writers I have not read – but soon will.<\/p>\n

Congrats ladies – well done!<\/p>\n
